Concert promoter FKP Scorpio opens office in Poland
Hamburg / Warsaw: FKP Scorpio opened an office in Warsaw, Poland on 01.08.2019.
The new company FKP Scorpio Poland is headed by Filip Potocki, who was born in Warsaw and has been Managing Director of Arcadia Live in Austria since 2015. Jan Brzoza - Administration, Marketing and Ticketing - and Krysztof Czarniakowski - Project Management and Ticketing - accompany theestablishment of FKP Scorpio Poland in addition to Filip Potocki.
„We plan to develop the company with a long-term view and in a sustainable way. For us it is important to get detailed knowledge of the conditions of the Polish market and to supplement the varied cultural and concert landscape of the country with our offer. Personally, I am very much looking forward to this challenge in the country where I was born.“, Filip Potocki describes the current goal of the company.
Founded in 1990, FKP Scorpio is now one of the largest companies in the live music business in Europe. In addition to Norway, Austria, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland and Germany, headquartered in Hamburg, Poland will become the eighth office of FKP.
„I've been following the development of the Polish live music market for a long time and see great potential there. We had first experiences in 2018 with the Ed Sheeran concert in the fantastic atmosphere of the PGE Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw.“, says Folkert Koopmans, CEO of FKP Scorpio.
The first concert organized by FKP Scorpio Poland will be Duncan Laurence, the Eurovision Song Contest winner in 2019, on November 25th, 2019 at Proxima in Warsaw.
FKP Scorpio has become one of the largest live promoters in Europe. The company has always remained true to its indie roots, which inspired Folkert Koopmans 27 years ago to found the company.
FKP Scorpio's goal was and remains to be an early part of the artist's career, as well as to accompany their career path.
